Budweiser Budvar is one of the most successful Czech companies in history. The first brewing was completed on 7 October 1895. The Budweiser Brewery has very strictly followed the brewing traditions in the town of Ceské Budéjovice (Budweis), dating back to the 13th century. The high quality of its products is marked by the gold medal won at the Stuttagard Food Fair in 1897. This event opened up sales opportunities in Venice, Vienna, Trieste and Kobe in Japan. In 1930, „Budvar“ was registered, which became a synonym for lager beer and still marks high quality beer.
