A few years ago, Maxime Trijoli Cognac House decided to put together its many generations of alcohol knowledge and experience to delight even more customers and admirers of quality. It seemed self-evident to use this knowledge and secrets to go in search of cognac-like treasures like the Twezo rums. This idea gave birth to the new Twezo trademark, which in Creole means "treasure". Twezo rums come from three different islands in the West Indian archipelago: Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago and Cuba. Made from carefully selected high quality sugarcanes, rum is first aged in small barrels (called "quarter" or bourbon barrels) on the islands and later in France for at least 3 months in cognac barrels.
