February 24, 1634 is an important date for the Paulaner Brewery. On that date, the mayor of Munich ordered Paulaner's monks to start brewing home-brewed beer for the townspeople at the Neudeck Abbey. The initial agreement failed, however, it is considered to be the date of birth of Paulaner Brewery. Paulaner is still a legendary brewery that owns the right to attend the Oktoberfest. Currently, Paulaner beer is produced more than 2 million hectoliters each year and marketed in over 70 different countries.
